MORE than 1,000 people visited Myton Hospice in Warwick on Sunday for our annual Summer Fete.

The weather stayed dry for us and goods including homemade cakes, plants and toiletries were for sale.
The event raised more than pounds 14,500 for our three hospices and visitors enjoyed a fun-packed day with entertainment from Jaykays Dance School in Leamington and an animal corner with alpacas, birds of prey and pigs.
The event also gave crowds the chance to get their hands on some celebrity merchandise.
The annual auction was run by funeral director Rob Ripley, of John Taylor, and raised pounds 2,000 T for us by selling signed items including a Wayne Rooney photograph.
The most expensive item to be sold was a Fender guitar signed by rock oil painting band The Kaiser Chiefs.
The instrument was donated to the hospice and was bought by Greg Lunn for pounds 620.
Thank you very much to everyone who came along and to all those who gave up their time to help set up and run the stalls. It really was a great day.
SEVERAL people have completed challenges on our behalf.
Motorcyclist Kevin Winterburn set off on his ride from Warwick to the Arctic on June 21 and arrived at his destination of Nordkapp in the North Cape on Tuesday.
Mr Winterburn is riding in memory of his father who died at Warwick Myton Hospice in 1998.
WELL done to Leamington friends Johnny Kaval, James Meadows and Adam Edgeller who have recently completed a two-week cycle mission.
The trio rode from the Eiffel Tower in Paris to T the Coliseum in Rome and have raised more than pounds 2,000 for us.
WOMEN can help raise money for us by taking part in Air max tn our ladies only walk through Leamington and Warwick.
The themed Moonlight Walk includes an eight-mile route starting and ending at Warwick Castle. Girls aged 14 and over can wear their pyjamas and take part in a girls' night out with a difference. Registration costs pounds 10. Call 07926 838837 to find out more.

Staff raised pounds 14,000 for us after holding a charity golf event at The Warwickshire in Leek Wootton on June 24.
The day was a great success and more than doubled the amount raised last year.
