2 civilians killed in fresh clashes in India-controlled Kashmir oil painting
SRINAGAR, India-controlled Kashmir, July 6 (Xinhua) -- Fresh clashes in India-controlled Kashmir allegedly killed two more civilians in police and paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) action, officials Tuesday said.

The clashes erupted late Monday evening in oil painting Tengpora-Batmaloo locality of Srinagar, the summer capital of India-controlled Kashmir, after an 11th class student Muzaffar Ahmad died after drowning in a stream.
Locals alleged that police and paramilitary troopers chased him up to the stream.
Early Tuesday morning, hundreds of the locals including women came on roads protesting the death of youth. The protesters were raising pro-freedom and anti-India slogans.

Police goyard bag and paramilitary troopers tried to disperse the mob by firing tear smoke shells and bullets, but protests responded by throwing rock and brick pieces.
In the police and paramilitary action one youth Fayaz Ahmad was killed after allegedly being hit by a "bullet".
The killings has triggered fresh spell of clashes in the Srinagar city, where around one dozen people are reported injured in the police action.
The killings has added to the already volatile atmosphere prevalent in the Muslim majority areas over the past one month.
